Thank you to the Regional Council of Goyder for helping us acquire a brand new photocopier, and to Alison Schutz who put together the Ward Funding application.
The new photocopier has arrived, and the committee is extremely grateful and happy. We are looking forward to using all the capabilities it provides.
The extent of its capabilities, will soon be discovered and will include assisting local community groups and organisations to print and photocopy.
Several members of the Eudunda Family Heritage Gallery attended the Eudunda Remembrance Day Ceremony on the 11th November 2022 along with representatives of many local organisations and private individuals.
Eudunda Family Heritage Gallery representative Jennie Schutz laid the beautiful wreath on behalf of the Heritage Gallery at the solumn ceremony.
Eudunda Probus Club representative Joy Pfitzner laid the lovely wreath on behalf of the Eudunda Probus Club at the Remembrance ceremony.
At the Eudunda Family Heritage Gallery October 2022 Committee meeting the members were able to view research that he had done on a donation by the Ross family of Robertstown of an old wooden ballot box.
The presenation was much easier for all to view and understand due to Samuel being able to project his work on to the digital television screen via a connection to his laptop.
The TV and stand was part of a grant recieved from the Regional Council of Goyder to improve communication, conferencing and presentation at the gallery.
On Thursday 21st June 2022, several Eudunda Family Heritage Gallery volunteers travelled to Parliament House to donate books based on the Eudunda area to the South Australian Parliament Research Library.
When one of our volunteers, Samuel Doering, donated his first book to the Library in November 2021, it was discovered that no other books relating to Eudunda were in the collection; Thursday’s visit rectified this!
The Gallery donated thirteen local history books, from general histories of Eudunda and Robertstown, to more specific histories of the Eudunda Show, Eudunda Hospital, Eudunda Club, Hundred of Julia Creek, Brownlow and more.
We hope these books help our MPs gain a deeper insight into the rich history of our area.
The visitors gave a bit ‘Thank you’ to Dr. John Weste for giving them a tour of the extraordinary collection at the South Australian Parliament Research Library.
