The Heritage Gallery Members have been very active in promoting our Local Author and Poet, Colin Thiele. They have helped to erect a sculpture to tell everyone about Colin and his achievements.
This life size statue has been beautifully sculptured by Chris Radford. It depicts Colin sitting and writing in his notebook while one of the pelicans that he wrote about in his book “Storm Boy” stands and looks on. Colin’s book was later made into a movie. Both book and movie are much loved by young and old.
The sculpture is situated in Eudunda’s Centenary Gardens (Town Gardens) where you might like to stop and have a break, why not have a picnic? It is well worth a visit. Amenities and shops are close by.
