Gallery Partly Flooded During Freak Storm

This is part of the media release put out by the Regional Council of Goyder,

“A storm that passed through Eudunda last week lashed the area with up to 50mm in less than an hour. The storm caused minor flooding in the township and damaged numerous roads. While the clean-up will take some weeks it has highlighted that there is still further work required in Eudunda to help address the ageing and outdated stormwater infrastructure. This is the second event of a similar magnitude in the last 6 months and the fifth time in the last 10 years.”

Fortunately there was no damage to any of the items in the gallery.

The Gallery is closed for a short time while floors dry out and repairs to some are done.

 

Eudunda Heritage Window Display – June 2021

The Eudunda Family Heritage Gallery has four window displays at the front of the building.

This time we feature one of the windows on the left of our main entrance (where Caroline Reese who reported for the Eudunda Observer used to operate from).

Eudunda Heritage Window Display – April ANZAC 2021

The Gallery windows display was busier than usual our window dresser this month has also featured the ANZAC service and the Air Force 100 – Centenary of Air Force in our front window.

On 31 March 2021, the Royal Australian Air Force marked 100 years of service to Australia and on April 25th Australia Remembers with the National ANZAC Day services.

The Gallery would also like to thank the generosity of John Stephens, President of the Eudunda RSL for the loan of the Airforce uniforms used in the display.

Eudunda Heritage Window Display – Feb-March 2021

Celebrating the Australian way of life.
Australia Day is the inspiration for the Eudunda Family Heritage Gallery’s window dresser this month.

Volunteer and Committee Member Delilah Balmer has created a much more elaborate display as time has gone one, still featuring the  typical old style Australian Picnic window display again this month. Well Done!

There is also a new display on the right hand side windows as well featuring some of Colin Thiele’s Book covers.
