We Would Like Historic Stories and Photos Of This District

This present time of uncertainty, where seemingly everything is on pause, provides the opportunity to self-reflect.

Story-telling is just one way that we can continue to connect and learn during this time.

We would love to receive stories and photos from you for the purpose of featuring on our Facebook Page. The potential to create a treasure-trove of stories and personal histories is enormous.

What the photo or story pertains to is up to you. It could be a photo of old farm machinery, the story of a drought, flood or other historic event, or an image of a memento or piece of technology that is no longer in use. The list could go on.

There are only two constraints: the photo, story or memento should have a link to Eudunda or any of the outlying districts, and a sufficient explanation of what a photo, or memento is.

Send your photos and/or stories via Facebook Messenger
to Social Media Editor on the Web Form.

If you have any questions, please feel free to use these channels of communication too.

Get creative, and we look forward to seeing what incredible stories come out of the woodwork!

Eudunda Heritage – ANZAC 2020 – April Windows Display

April’s Window Dressing has usually featured an ANZAC theme and at the Eudunda Family Heritage Gallery this year we see that tradition has been carried on. This year, because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, not only is the Heritage Gallery closed at the moment, but it has had a major impact on ANZAC Celebrations.

If you are a Facebook user you can read some great stories about Eudunda Service Personnel writing home to family and friends during World War I.

Many thanks to EFHG Volunteer Samuel Doering who does a marvelous job of keeping interesting new stories on this page

Eudunda Heritage Gallery – Thank You Firies

The Eudunda Family Heritage Gallery front windows  have a new display each month thanks to our talented Committee Chairperson Delilah Balmer.

For January we acknowledge the great work our Firies ave done over the last couple months. Thankfully not much in our area, but sadly in many other places of Australia, with some of our local volunteers venturing off to places like Kangaroo Island where some third of the Island was devastated by fire.

We also wish to acknowledge all the volunteers in various emergency services who put in so much time for out community.

If you are going past, don’t forget to stop and check it out our window. If the doors are open, please come in, browse around and have a chat if you like.
